PS Bilaspur leaves no stone unturned to update its students and to orient them with the needs of the present time. In an attempt to instil in them the qualities of leadership, confidence, better understanding of the environment and responsibility towards the other road commuters a Joy Ride was organised by the Pre- Primary Wing of DPS Bilaspur.
Joy Ride event aimed to put smiles on the faces of the kids by creating fun and an engaging atmosphere. Children got an up-close look of different means of transport, out of use today like Tonga, Rickshaw, Bagghi, Thelas and the latest futuristic vehicles like E- Rickshaws etc and even got a chance to ride on them along with the parents. Joy Ride events also create a sense of community by bringing families together.
Young children and their parents were invited to be a part of this festivity. They responded enthusiastically by reporting on the spot with their beautifully decorated bicycles, bikes and cars. The procession led by a group of 75 students on their bicycles, bikes decorated as beautiful peacock ride,bunny ride,jungle ride and majestic cars gave the impression of a carnival with fantabulous tableau. This way, they learnt to become more independent and built specific skills like balance, coordination and focus that can even lead to understanding of what they like to do most. Also, it is one of the ways in which they can build their muscles starting from a very young age, which is great for their overall development. The programme was a huge success as it was greatly enjoyed by the parents and students.
